Broadway technology, a provider of high performance front office solutions, has announced that it has recruited two fintech industry professionals as part of its efforts to expand its international business development team.

Broadway Technology indicated that they will continue to invest in top talent in the industry to support their global growth plans while focusing more on improving customer service.

Dan Romanelli, Head of Relationships on Broadway, said:

“2021 was a landmark year for Broadway as we continue to deliver innovative solutions to help our global customers meet their evolving fixed income workflow challenges. Broadway has always focused on investing in our people and our customer relationships, and we pride ourselves on welcoming such exceptional industry talent to our global business development team so that we can continue to deliver exceptional customer experiences. “

As first reported by Finextra, Carlota Parages-Torres and Jim Bruen are new additions to Broadway Technology’s relationship management teams in the US and UK.

As mentioned in the announcement, Carlota Parages-Torres is the director of business development on Broadway in its London offices. She brings approximately 25 years of professional experience in the financial markets and has considerable experience in providing trading and workflow services for buy and sell customers.

Prior to Broadway, Parages-Torres spent over two decades at Bloomberg LP where she was responsible for leading the sale of Fixed Income Electronic Trading Solutions to Tier 1 fund managers in the UK.

During her time at Bloomberg, she also held key positions as Senior UK Buyside Execution Platform Sales and Relationship Manager and Sell Side Order Management System Sales. She also has experience in repo sales for the Compagnie Financiere Tradition.

As noted in the update, Jim Bruen is moving to the company’s New York offices on Broadway as Director of Business Development. Bruen brings nearly 30 years of experience in the international financial and technology markets to Broadway and has expertise in electronic front-end trading systems.

Before joining Broadway, Bruen was a Managing Partner and Director at Luminosity Group (TLG). Bruen also has experience in senior relationship management positions at Fidessa, Vela Trading and Trading Technologies and has also served as Executive Director / CEO of ZincMedia Group, Inc.

The hires came after the launch of several strategic initiatives on Broadway as well as the recent appointment of Michael Chin, a 30-year fintech veteran as CEO, and Bruce Boytim as COO and Romanelli as the head of relationships.
